Death is nothing else but going home to God, the bond of love will be unbroken for all eternity.Mother Teresa

This memorial website was created to remember my dearest Jack who passed away on May 10, 2009 at the age of 15 or 16 years old.

You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

A special "Thank You" to Marilyn Tomlin for allowing her original music, performed by her, to be used here on Jack's website.  THANKS, Marilyn, for your continued, unwavering support -- you are so much appreciated.

I was chosen today
I'm learning to fly
the world took me away,
but please don't you cry

And I chose you today
to try and be strong
so please don't you cry
and don't say that I'm gone

When you're feeling alone
just remember our love,
I'm up near the stars
looking down from above.

Remember our love
In a moment you'll see
that I'm still here beside you
when you're thinking of me.

Jack --

You had only been gone about 5 months when something incredible happened here.  I received an email to American Cocker Spaniel Rescue, from a volunteer at a shelter in Houston, Texas.  She wanted to know if we could re-home a cocker spaniel that they had.  I normally don't open the email attachments, because they always contain pictures of adorable, homeless cockers -- and, that breaks my heart, because we aren't able to help them all.  Well, this time I opened the attachments....and proceeded to have an emotional melt down.  The attachments contained pictures of a cocker who could be your twin!  His name is Frisco, he's 9 years old, and I adopted him.  He flew from Texas to Washington (THANK YOU Jeanie and Julia!!), and arrived here October 23, 2009.  Everything about him is just like you -- right down to the same little wart just above his left ear.  The two of you are identical -- your coat, you are both deaf, and even have the same behavioral traits.  He's so much like you, I keep calling him "Jack" (or Jack, Jr -- J.J.).  I believe you had something to do with having him sent here, and I thank you tons.....I don't cry every day now!

Terri,

We are so sorry for your loss.  Jack was indeed a very special boy.  He was so lucky to have you.  I know how they leave such a pawprint on our heart.  Your Jack left a paw print on many, many hearts!  We are thinking of you during this time of sorrow.

I remember one those pics... one of them is at my house :) He was n my trash can lol. I think that was when we were getting him ready for his test to become a therapy dog. GOOD TIMES!!! We all get so busy in our lives and take for granted there will be another day to do things we should do today. I'm so happy and fortunate to be able to have memories of Jack to take with me through the rest of the life I have left to lead here on this big blue marble. Thank you Jack for all the smiles and laughter. You are truly one of a kind and are greatly missed by so many. Love ya little man. See you on the other side. Keep the party going till we get there ok.
Jack's Poem

Jack the Cocker

Jack the cocker; ‘Cocker Spaniel' that is,

Regardless of his past, endless love he gives.

Rescued from neglect & abuse for many years,

It was Terrolynn, who kissed away his pain & fears.

Jack, totally deaf, is 15 maybe 17 years old.

This registered therapy k-9 has a heart of gold.

The devastating inhumane life that once had him askew,

Brought Jack to the American Cocker Spaniel Rescue.

He now works for Red Cross, Pet Partners & Delta Society,

Visits the patients at the hospital where he shows his almighty.

As a surgical tech, Jack's handler & chauffer works at Madigan too,

Jack follows her around looking for those he can whew.

NOW FOR THOSE THAT DON’T KNOW

Not long ago Brigadier General Sheila Baxter, documented an important log,

She awarded this special, unique, loving handsome boy “SUPER DOG”.
